The Barrault Mission
The Barrault Mission is simple. We support employees participating in workplace governance, achieving fair wages and benefits, and improving the lives of employees’ families and the larger communities in which they live and work. We are unapologetic defenders of workers’ rights and are dedicated to protecting the interests of working-class people both individually and through class action representation.
To that end, Barrault and Associates LLC provides full-service representation to labor unions and employees. We do not represent employers or companies. We handle a broad range of labor and employment matters, including collective bargaining, advising labor unions and employees, litigating cases in arbitration, state agencies, and the courts, and assisting injured workers as well as those seeking retirement benefits.
We currently represent scores of public safety labor unions, including The Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts, The Professional Firefighters of Vermont, The State Police Association of Massachusetts Troopers, as well as over a hundred municipal and state public safety locals in Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire. We also represent individual employees in all aspects of employment law.

The Barrault Team represents unions and employees in all aspects of litigation including arbitration, retirement and civil service agency proceedings, and in court. Our founder has won or settled hundreds of cases before arbitrators and hearing officers on issues ranging from failure to bargain, anti-union discrimination, written warnings and terminations, and more complicated matters involving contract interpretation, and fact-finding or interest arbitration. She has successfully defended arbitration and interest arbitration awards to the Massachusetts Appeals and Supreme Judicial Court, and litigated employment discrimination and retaliation cases before the MCAD, and state and federal courts. Our founder has also won wage law cases in state and federal courts under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The Barrault Team is committed to providing you with both the strength and strategy that you need to tackle any contractual dispute that may arise. In the case of a union, we will work with your bargaining team to formulate proposals and analyze your employer’s financial condition.In the event of litigation, we will work with your team to prepare and present your case in front of a fact-finding or interest arbitration panel. In the case of an individual employee, we will work with you to negotiate employment and separation agreements, or just help you understand your rights and the process.
