A commission looks into Ashland police chief misconduct, but she says she’s not the only one responsible

Ashland Police Chief Cara Rossi expressed regret at a state oversight commission hearing Friday over her handling of a Natick dispatcher’s complaint of sexual assault by a male officer in 2020 while Rossi was a Natick police lieutenant. She also said that other responsible officials haven’t been held accountable.

The Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission hearing surrounded allegations against Officer James Quilty, who sexually assaulted a dispatcher during a post-shift gathering of Natick Police Department officers.
